PROJECT 1 | DIAGRAMMATIC ABSTRACTION
In a group of 5, we are require to complete a set of architectural drawing on selected building on A3 tracing paper.
Produce a set of 10 models (10x10x10cm) with the findings.The models should be precise and informative enough to show the analysis of idea.

Through this project, I knew more about our selected building which is Philip's Pavillion including the Architect "Le Cobusier". I also gain a lot of knowledge about the design element and principle. Beside that, I am glad to have the chance to practice my model making skills. As a group of 5, we work as a team to achieve our goal. We discuss and overcome all the problems together.

PROJECT 2A | BIRDWATCH TOWER
Site Conditions & Analysis (10%)
In groups (combination of 2 tutorial groups from Project 1) , conduct site analysis of the physical context, social, cultural and/or historical issues within the overall site.
Birdwatch Tower (20%)
Individually, produce personal interpretation of the site in the form of sketches.
In group of two, we are to begin with a volume in the form of a solid cube 3 x 3 x 3 meter.
By selecting a character, we are to design a Bird Watch Tower at Fraser’s Hill for the purpose of bird watching/contemplation/simply just to enjoy the
view. The structure should correspond to the site

The most important part of this project is how the building responses to the site context. Through all the analysis, we able to know and learn more about our site "Frase Hill". As a team, we consider the site context and design our birdwatch tower according to all the infomation we have. Beside that, the selected client for our building is SPORTMAN. The inspiration of our building is from the pain sensation that we experience at Fraser Hill, I got bitten by leeches and Jsern got stung by bees.

TASK
As a group we had visited the site Fraser’s Hill and finished the site investigation.
Now it is important for our work to reflect
our understanding of how architecture is created by applying the basic design principles and spatial
organization skills. Our work must also illustrate an understanding of how a building is conceptualize and transformed into reality.
Project 2b extends the understanding of design concept and process.
This project explores the relationship between architectural tectonics, function and space in architecture.
This project is somehow related to our previous project which is 2A. The selected site for my retreat house will be the same as the Birdwatch Tower which is site 2. The view of site 2 will be the best among all the sites due to its height, the highest point.
The selected client for my retreat house is Derrick Rose, the NBA player. The reasons why I chose him as my client because of his strong characteristic and his interesting background.
I learnt alot from this final project, the way to interpret and analyse simple site context and also
the client’s character and needs in relation to the design of a small building.
Besides that, I learnt that it is not easy to design a simple building type that meets user requirements and respect site context that balances both internal and external design values.
Lastly, how the retreat house interact with the site is really important. This is the main point of this project.
